On January 4, 2024, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the TDTU Public Lectures Program for January 2024 was organized with the topic “Transcription strategies in qualitative research and future research directions”.
The speaker for the program is Professor Sébastien Point - Director of the HuManiS Research Center at the University of Strasbourg, France. With 39 scientific studies listed in the WoS database, he is also an expert in the data analysis of qualitative research, which is applied to studies in the economic and social fields.
The program was attended by Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau - Vice President of TDTU, Dr. Le Duc Hien – the person-in-charge of the Department for Management of Science and Technology Development, representatives of the leadership of various units, as well as researchers, staff, and students from the faculties within the University.
In the program, the speaker shared insights on the concept, significance, and development of data transcription in qualitative research. The presentation also covered the benefits, risks, and challenges of transcribing data in exploring the directions of each data transcription strategy. Transcribing data requires a focus on data transcription strategies, a topic which is often overlooked in discussions on research methods.
