On October 21, 2023 at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the community charity run program on the UpRace 2023 platform was organized to raise funds in support of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.
The event was honored to welcome the presence of comrade Truong My Hoa - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chairman of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and also Chairman of the Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa"; comrade Dang Ngoc Tung, former Member of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" and also the University Council member; comrade Duong Van Thuy - Standing member of the Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" and also Deputy Office of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.
On TDTU's side, there was the presence of Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Science and Training Council cum President of TDTU; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President of TDTU; Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Chairman of the University Trade Union; Associate Professor. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly - Vice President of the University Council and more than 2,000 lecturers, officials and students participated in the running track.
The community charity run program on the UpRace 2023 platform, which was launched from October 6, 2023, to October 29, 2023, is one of the strongly supported activities. Since its initiation, there have been 2,498 lecturers and students of the University participating in running continuously on the Uprace application platform. This demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, the spirit of devotion and the sense of social responsibility - something that anyone who has ever lived, studied and worked at TDTU owns.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Tran Trong Dao said: "This is not only an activity that helps us practice exercise, sports, and improve health, but also an opportunity for us to learn how to share with the difficulties of the community, and to contribute our small amounts of effort to ethnic minority students in particularly difficult circumstances through accumulating running kilometers to contribute to the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund."

The UpRace 2023 community charity run aims to raise funds in support of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships and assistance to ethnic minority students facing special and severe financial difficulties. It creates a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the new academic year, promotes the student development movement at the university, and at the same time, helps to spread TDTU's positive image to the community and society.
