On September 12, 2023, the delegation from the Party Committee of Hanoi University and College, led by Comrade Nguyen Thanh Son - the Secretary of the Party Committee, together with the delegation from the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University and College, led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Hong - Secretary of the Party Committee, paid a visit to Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Hong highly appreciated the necessity and effectiveness of the exchange and sharing program between the two Party Committees. These Committees are also unique and the only ones in the country responsible for the University and College cluster. Speaking at the session, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Son emphasized the excellent relationship between the Party Committees of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This is an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences in management and innovation in higher education.
On this occasion as well, the two Party Committees were introduced and visited the facilities of TDTU, including the Vietnam - Finland International School (under TDTU’s authority), which is the first kind of model for an international school under the authority of a public university in the country. This model was permitted as a pilot project by the Prime Minister and was established by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Hong appreciated TDTU’s model of autonomous public university management, which has produced many exemplary results within the university and college cluster of Ho Chi Minh City.
TDTU is deeply honored to host the meeting and working session of the two major Party Committees of university and college in the country. Comrade Vu Anh Duc stated: “This is an opportunity for the University to learn valuable experiences and best practices in building the Party from the universities of both Party Committees. From this, we can devise better solutions to enhance the roles and functions of the University’s Party Committee in building the Party, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party Congress's resolution of the University and furthering the development of TDTU”.
